This morning we had an opportunity to go into the garden and help pull out the weeds that are taking over! It was a great way to review science from June, about how seeds travel, and we even learned that most weeds that we have now, were actually brought to Canada by early settlers because at that point in time they served a purpose for them - like the swine thistle, which was initially intended to be food for pigs! Students were having a blast digging in the garden, and pulling out some pretty big weeds with even bigger roots!
