To finish our Electricity unit students are creating a mind map of the things they have learned in this unit. It should include all of the following elements:
-recognize dangers involved in using sources of electrical currents
-describe/demonstrate that electricity can be used to create a magnet
-conductors vs. insulators
-electricity in our homes is measured in kW/hour
-draw and label circuits using different materials (like switches)
-series vs. parallel circuit - what happens to the lightbulb?
-how can you reduce your electrical footprint?
-How would you construct a burglar alarm in a house using a simple circuit?
Some works in progress below!
